Refund policy
We want every Atelier Petit piece to feel right the moment it lands in your wardrobe. On the rare occasion that it doesn't, we've made the process of sending it back as transparent as possible.
This policy applies to all orders shipped within the United States.
Window for Returns
You have 30 calendar days from the day of delivery to submit a return or exchange request. Any request that reaches us after this window has closed will not be eligible for processing.
Condition of Returned Items
To be accepted, returned items must be:
- Free from any signs of wear, washing, or alteration
- Returned in their original packaging, with all attached tags intact
- Submitted alongside valid proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation or receipt
Items that arrive showing signs of use, missing tags, or without their original packaging cannot be approved for refund.
Where Returns Are Sent
Returns are processed through our international returns centre. Because this address is overseas, the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, and international return postage can be significant relative to the value of the item. We mention this plainly so you can weigh it before requesting a return.
We do not issue prepaid return labels, and we do not deduct shipping costs from your refund. We strongly recommend a tracked and insured service, as we cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost or damaged on the return journey.
How to Begin a Return
- Email support@atelierpetit.com with your order number and the reason for your return.
- Wait to receive return instructions and the correct return address from our team. Please do not ship your parcel before this confirmation.
- Repack the item carefully, keeping all original tags and packaging in place.
- Drop the parcel off with your chosen carrier and retain your tracking reference until the refund or exchange is complete.
Exchanges
If you'd prefer a different size, colour, or product, we're happy to arrange an exchange in place of a refund. Please indicate this clearly when you first contact us, and a member of the team will guide you through the specifics.
If Your Order Arrives Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect
If something is wrong with the order you receive, contact support@atelierpetit.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the issue. We will arrange a resolution at no cost to you — a replacement, repair, or full refund — and you will not be asked to pay return shipping in this case.
Order Cancellations
If your order has not yet entered our fulfilment pipeline, you may request a cancellation by emailing us as quickly as possible at support@atelierpetit.com. Once a parcel has been handed to the carrier and is in transit, cancellation is no longer possible — please wait for delivery and follow the standard return procedure above.
Refund Processing
Once your returned item reaches our facility, we inspect it against the criteria above and email you confirming whether the return is approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 2 business days of approval.
A few things to keep in mind:
- The shipping cost you originally paid at checkout is non-refundable, unless the return is the result of an error on our part.
- Your bank or card issuer may need additional time to display the refund on your statement.
- If 7 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund and you still cannot locate it, please get in touch so we can investigate.
